Since 1922, Missio has been the Pope’s official charity for overseas mission. We support missionaries who reach out to people who are yearning to hear of God’s unconditional love for them and who bring the hope of the Gospel to new and poor Catholic communities where there is turmoil, poverty and uncertainty. Through the training of priests and sisters we help bring the sacraments to the ever-growing numbers of people in the Church across the world. Our children’s projects provide education, nutrition, medical care and shelter for children in vulnerable circumstances, supporting both their physical and spiritual needs. Missio empowers local people to form and sustain communities of faith. We train and nurture leaders so that the vital work of the Church in the world can take place. As the Catholic Church’s primary mission charity, Missio proclaims the Gospel and supports the growth of the Church in 157 countries. A gift in your will to Missio is a lasting gift of faith to future generations.
